Books always stay with us. They are our
best and constant companions. They own the power to transport us to a world we
always dream of. Books can bring to life characters we imagine. They provide us
either a real face of the world or an alternative world to which we can escape
to.
During lockdown, books are one of the solutions
to keep ourselves busy and indulge in some logical pursuits. There are plenty
of books we read and plenty are waiting to be read. We either pick up a book on
someone’s suggestion or because we love the cover of it or the title. Everyone
has different perspectives while choosing a book. But we found that there are some
books which one must read once in their life. Today I will be sharing that list:
1. The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand
Fountainhead describes the philosophy of
Ayn Rand. Ayn Rand has beautifully penned down this book. It is one of the
classics. I will recommend you all to read it at least once. You will enjoy it. It’s a lengthy book still a
good read.
2. Power of subconscious mind by Dr
Joseph Murphy
It is one of the bestsellers. A non-fiction
totally helps you how to control your mind, how to overcome the negative
thoughts. It is one of my favorite books. It helped me in improving some of my
habits. So I suggest you all to give it a read.
3. Gone with the wind by Margaret
Mitchell
This is another classic. It is so gripping
with every passing chapter that you’ll want to know what will happen next and
read more! The title of the book is also apt.
4. Shoot. Dive. Fly by Rachna Bisht
Rawat
It is for defence aspirants. Even the blurb explains who desire a career in defence and defence does not mean only wars. It has other exciting and adventurous posts.
5. Small acts of freedom by Gurmehar
Kaur
It is an autobiography of a Kargil martyr’s
daughter. She has explained her pain, how her mother raised her and her sister
up. This is truly a heart-touching read. Go give this book a look.
These are my suggestions, hope you will like it. Stay home and stay safe.
